Meet the owners

Hi !
We are Cody & Annaliese; the family behind The Village Play Cafe. We’ve been married for eight years this past April and are raising our two little boys, Cooper (2.5) and Camden (4 months), right here in the VB community that we love. While we’ve called Virginia Beach home for the past eight years, both of us have spent most of our lives in Hampton Roads. We are passionate about creating a welcoming environment for the community where families can connect, children can play, and everyone can feel like they belong. When we became parents in 2023, we quickly realized how true the saying “It takes a village” really is. Raising little ones is one of life’s greatest joys, but it’s also something that was never meant to be done alone. We found ourselves constantly searching for places where our children can play safely while we enjoy a cup of coffee, connect with other families, and simply feel comfortable and welcomed. So we dreamed of our own play cafe space that combines all of those things while serving as a space where community comes naturally and families feel at home.

That dream became The Village Play Cafe.

We absolutely understand the joys, challenges, and sometimes isolating moments that can come with raising young children. We created this space to be more than just a play space. At its heart, the Village is rooted in community, and we want it to be a place to gather, build friendships, celebrate milestones, and find support during the beautiful chaos that is parenthood. We are so grateful to bring this dream to life for the community and can’t wait to welcome your family into our village.
